are these ballasts available in smaller wattage values such as a 250 or only the 430 as mentioned above.

But if that's not the Canada Post price then just for curiousity I'd like to see the CP price before I decide to extend my debt load yet another $100 or $200 ....
I will get a canada post price for you... if you are pooling shipping with someone else from Calgary it can get cheeper.. for example it is 22 bucks shipping for one ballast so it is 70 plus 22 not 30.00 which means just over 90.00 including taxes.. now if there were 4 going to Calgary the shipping would be 42.06 which makes them 80.50 each including everything.. if you can buy them for 80 there it would be at least 5.00 more.. and for 6 ballast the shipping drops down to about 8 bucks each so it would be 78.00 each ballast roughly.. now is that a huge savings.. not over 80.00 but it is cheeper..

I Just looked up the delivery to Calgary for two ballast.. it works out to 17.66 total for two ballasts in 4 days.

27.45 for 4 ballast in 4 days to Calgary.. so looks like standard parcel throught canada post is cheeper..

well I think I am going to have top set a time for final interest.. how does friday noon sound? that gives me the afternoon to get confermation on the numbers and delivery times and then I can get back to everyone friday night.

Josh, for 250 watt bulbs I can get the Advance M80 ballasts (the HQI ballasts) for a little better of a price than J&L sells them for but there is a two week delivery time on them.. if there is enuf interest in them I could inquire about thoes again (I just ordered mine last week...)

Thanks for looking into that, Steve, I appreciate it.

One last question before I go and agonize over a decision. (You've caught me at a time I was about to replace 3 halide bulbs, so this will seriously impact my lighting budget in the short-term here...) The ballasts that you will be getting, are they Advance #71A85E6, or are they a different one? (Edit: I originally missed that you said these were the Advance ballasts.) Thanks for the info.

Ok ..... (oh, I am going to be in sooo much trouble for this ) .... but ... please count me in for two.

PS. I double checked, the price in Calgary is more like $87.50. But a special-order item, so possibly not the right ballast (they weren't able to confirm the part #).
