EmilyB is 10 Jonathan. She has a nerve disorder that came on over the past six months or so.

Is there nothing they can do for her? Does it affect her all the time?

NALA (CHOCO LAB) is 7 now and is starting to get arthritis but sure has the heart of a fighter!

Sorry Jon, I just saw your post. They did x-rays to rule out a spinal problem. It is definitely neurological, and the next step would be an MRI, which would do nothing more than confirm something like Wobblers disease, which may or may not be operable. If I had that kind of money, I'd do it.

Those labs are something. Meg is 14 years old, had two knee surgeries and is still in the best shape, although she is deaf as a stone now.

At least losing older pets, you know they've had a good life, as hard as it is to let them go.

Thanks again everyone for your kind words. It's funny how much less work two dogs are than three - or I'd probably already have another one.

I'm sorry to here that Deb, my condolences to you and Barry

I would have responded earlier but that dam# rock was so heavy that I needed a hand with it before I could crawl out from underneath it
