|  who quarantines fish Just wondering who here quarantines their new additions, and who doesn't. I have never done it but now that i would like to add some more expensive fish i been thinking of it. what process do you guys use and how long should a fish be quarantine for |

|   I don't buy new fish anymore, but did quarantine all new fish when I did, having lost a tankful of big fish to velvet by not doing QT. I used a 40g tank, hang on filter and treated with chloroquine for 2 weeks.

|   It would be OK, for those 1.5" fish, but for a 4" fish, anything you can do to make it a little bigger would be better. 15-20g if you can.

|   Yup everything that goes in my tank get quarantined. I quarantine for 14 days, 7 with chloroquine phosphate, and then 7 days of observation.  It's all done in a 15g tank with a hob filter, heater and bubbler. |
