If you were not so cheap and bought a real skimmer you would not need this option.

you'll love the cleaner. I have a swabbie on my BK. although it has really made me lazy. i pretty much just look at the skimmer to empty the cup and maybe once a month wipe off the neck cleaner. Love your build so far!

Is that the aquadriver version you have?

I know the swabbies are the cheapest route but I recall reading a few stories about their performance and fit that cast a few doubts?

i have been informed that vertex will be releasing their version off the self cleaning head and it is not out to lunch as far as pricing goes

It's a swabbie, I origionally wanted the new top, but they couldn't promise that it would work considering the clearances. So they sent a retrufit, and in hind sight, Im glad they did. Although I had to drill a hole in the lid myself, but it wasn't that bad. Good looking skimmer though, I must say.
