Out of the hobby or jut looking to upg an this is usually at a subsidized cost. Sometime even below half of the original cost. It's not like aquarium stuff is so hot that Its flying off the shelves so buying used stuff should lower my cost. I appreciate your input thought. Thanks
Don't worry U can find stuff for $400. 29g biocube doesn't need a skimmer or $800 radions either. Get some nice live rock and if u can't Afford an ro/di unit just buy water from Culligan or Safeway. The stock lights in a Biocube can support softies and some lps. There's places u can buy cheaper t5ho fixtures if u wanna build ur own setup too.

your first saltwater tank doesn't have to be expensive(though this hobby is expensive to begin with)buy used stuff for now just to get your hands "wet" and see how you like it,then maybe down the road when you have experience and the funds for a bigger tank and better accessories then UPGRADE.there are lotsa good and helpful people on Canreef...good luck with the build
