I have nothing but great things to say about Costa Rica. If all goes well, I'll be moving there when I retire.

Bahamas is an excellent adventure, Eluthera or Paradise islands are great and accessible. The snorkeling in the early nineties was great, can't say how it is now.

French Guadeloupe was fantastic for a couple but the one reef we checked out was 99% dead when we visited last year. Shame.

I haven't been to Costa Rica myself but a good friend of mine who has been just about everywhere on the planet really loved the place. He and his wife especially liked the canopy tours (zip line across the jungle from the top of the forest). He felt the country was a safe place and never had any problems. Everyone he met was friendly. Lots of ground level jungle and photography tours as well. My next trip will either be Costa Rica or Cuba.

We went to Oahu at the end of May a couple of yars ago and it was a great trip. It wasn't crowded at all and even after 11 days we still didn't get to see and do everything we wanted to. I would go back in a heart beat but next time I would want to stay longer and try and visit the big island, Kauai and Maui as well.
