How are you plumbing that thing? Are you going to place an acrylic overflow box around those two upwards turned elbows you have on the back of the tank, or are you just going leave them as they are? Because that tank is going to be incredibly noisy without an overflow box and a modified Durso or Stockman overlow.

I was going to do some test runs with some fresh water to see how noisy they really are. I was going to run two external dursos on the tank. I'm still looking for some betta boxes to use as overflows, but I can't find anything deep enough.

Bob, did you ever find out if your bulb was a mislabelled 10000K? I believe I read somewhere that Venkiw had gotten some 10000K bulb that were really 6500K.

In the first pic I do not have my actinics on. I did notice the light turns less blue once it is on longer. Is that normal?

I would say it is not normal for a 10K bulb to be that blue.. looks like there 14K bulbs. if they sell that as a 10K I would say they are seriously miss repersenting there product.
