If you look at the TOTM link in my signature, there is a list of fish I have in the article.

If the fish is added after the shrimp you will probably be ok, but any shrimp, or snail added after are goners....

Oh no, I just add this guy today. I better add more shrimps, fish, and snails tomorrow. Tank so far 1 clown, 1 coral beauty, 1 cleaner shrimp, and 5 sand snails

they are hit or miss from what people say most i have seen are actually fine in a reef, there are tales of them eating shrimp and bullying other fish, during feeding time most triggers are pretty dominant.

but mine was a saint as well for the couple of years i had him.

I have a 7" niger trigger and added a peppermint shrimp long after he was in the tank and the trigger never touched it.

I have one. He leaves the shrimp I ALREADY HAVE alone. Any new additions are gobbled up though. This includes fish. He nips at all new additions.

I just added a mandarin and 2 small ocellaris clownfish and a few small crabs and my niger does not touch any of these new addition. I guess no matter what people say, it is the toss of a dice and one must try it because each fish will behave its own way. They are very intelligent fish and with very different personality. MY guess was that a shy one would not be aggressive and I was right...it is not.
