They are doing 3 episodes on the Battle of Peleliu based on the book "With the Old Breed".
Amazing book, hard to believe men could be that tough and courageous. My wife and I got to tour Peleliu in 05 while we were in Palau and I can't wait to see them tell story of this unsung battle.

I thought it was good but didn't find it nearly as compelling as BOB. Too early to tell though with just one episode so we'll see.
An old friend of the family flew for the RAF in the pacific and spent some time in a Japanese POW camp. Comparing his stories to my grandfathers (RAF Europe) I think the pacific was a much nastier theatre to be assigned to.
