![]() Black and white, if any orange, only on the face and fins. If that fits your description, it is some type of black clownfish. The black saddlebacks have the saddle on the back (obviously), the percs and oces, well, they all look the same to me.

![]() Actually, no. There is no such thing as "black percula clownfish", outside of Australia, at least when I had mine....although they are called that.
The saddleback variants are talked about in Wilkersons book which I'm sure you have now obviously. ![]() |

![]() I think this maybe the clown in question. The photos on the site are not very good though.
http://www.fishindex.com/phpinfo//36/1-1//1467 Also, I have a question regarding another species of clown; In my tank are two paired up true percs. They have been in the tank for about 1 yr. One of the two continues to get darker in color. It looks like bruiser the clown. Is this color change a part of thier mating or age ![]() Kari |

![]() Deb, so you figure these are ocellaris? I don't think that there is only one type of black clownfish, and that sometimes they look like saddlebacks, sometimes like oces/percs. Mine look just like yours, except less orange. Maybe I will have to count those spines.

![]() Bottom photo looks just like one of mine. Very yellow-orange, versus the typical orange.
