![]() I had a Remora about 10 years ago and it was just about the worst skimmer I've ever used (I think I actually had better results from my Seaclone so it's a toss up). It skimmed next to nothing, and was way too noisy (yes I'm aware of the mods to quieten them).

![]() I have an Aqua-medic Blue T1000 HOB skimmer and I really like it. I don't use it as an HOB, I use in in sump. The big thing is that it's pretty freakin huge. Biggest HOB skimmer I've ever seen. It's pretty quiet and only uses 12W so I can't complain about power usage.
Had to get it from www.aquacave.com though.

![]() Hmmm, I have heard good things about the octopus line of skimmers. It would be nice to talk to someone who has used one. I am having such a hard time figuring out what to go for, everyone says something different!
