![]() ![]() Decided I was tired of watching my sps's fall over after a nite of snail and crab action so I set out to fix them to the live rock using underwater expoxy> I was the going to do my bi weekly chores and clean up the filter room, clean out the skimmate etc . after my glue job was finished So as you know when you use the epoxy, the skimmer goes nuts for a while and produces loads of skimmate for a few hours . Well you guessed it , as soon as I was done my epoxy job I go into the filter room only to see the entire volume of this weeks skimmate over flow into the sump ![]() Needless to say I did a quick 20 % water change and will do another tomorrow .... NOTE TO SELF .. CHANGE OUT THE SKIMMATE BEFORE YOU USE EPOXY ![]() |

![]() I've had that happen when using a lot of epoxy. At first I could not figure out why my skimmer was going nuts, but then after thinking about it I figured it out.
