We bought one for the kids and they really love it ... makes for some good family entertainment. We bought ours at Walmart for $269 along with the second remote which came with a game (that contains 8 mini games) which is a good buy. Works out that the game is pretty much free & I love the target practice on that one ... ummm, or they do ... so I would suggest buying the second remote at Walmart if you can find the same deal. I just asked the lady there when the next shipment was coming in and she told me. I showed up that day and they were stocking them on the shelf ...

if you are looking for a good game, I highly recommend Guitar Hero 3... Its almost impossible to get in the city but i just got one ordered from ebgames.com. use the code "diamond" for $10 off anything. When you enter it, it looks like it doesn't work, but get to the checkout and the $10 comes off.

had my wii for almost a year and while i owned it, it was fun for the time. like mentioned it's great for parties, and hanging out with friends. but i just found it got old, boring, and i just never used it and ended up selling it. i just find it gets old fast, i don't know why. just me though.

i've been playing the xbox 360 lately and i like it a lot so far.. thinking about grabbing an elite package sometime in the new year perhaps.

The candle gig looks interesting. I think I will pop the $10 for a new sensor bar rather than burn down the house

Thanks guys

Seriously? Just splice the wires back together. It is just power and ground, no big deal.

MY DIY skills are well, crappy at best. Perhaps I am part of the disposable society but it's easier for me to buy a new one

I've seen wireless ones too which will make my life a bit easier as I don't have my Wii right beside the TV so its a strech to get a wire to in front of the set.

i've considered a wii but we have a ceiling mounted projector in the basement. We'd have shadows on the screen as we play

i'm ****ed off at my 360 though. It's in for waranty work. Overheating

I heard the 360's had a big problem with overheating.

I saw a PS3 for $399 which is a lot cheaper then when they first came out. I'm still thinking a Wii would be the most fun, especially for the kids.
