Curse you Diana!! I went at lunchtime to go look at this lens. Ohhh my it's nice. I have a new ThingThatICannotLiveWithout that IDidNotKnowAboutYesterday.

No seriously, thanks for the tip. I shoot macros using a Tamron 90mm and it's a sweet lens, but I need something that's got a smaller focal length for shots where you have the whole fish (or whatever) in the frame. This lens should fit the bill nicely! Yet another thing to save up my pennies for ...

Haha yep, it was one of those things we just had to suddenly have too! But we worked it into a Christmas present . Its a great lens, I just have to practice adjusting the aperature to get a wider DOF.

Murimator, its a 90 gallon. And yes it is a female lyretail anthias... when I upgraded from my smaller reef I had intentions of getting a group of them, but once the other fish went in there just wasnt any room left. Its not quite a large enough tank anyways. Alas, the lone anthias is still there. Maybe one day I can get some more for her.
