My snails go onto the seio output alot which means they have to cross the intake(and mine are mounted tunze style) and I've never found one stuck to it?

![]() the cover only redirects the out flow it dosn't cover the intake grills so there is no difference for sucking stuff in with the cover on or off. The cover is usefull for placing it in a corner to blow accross the bottom and thats about it.

![]() The full cover(that makes it look like a rectangular block) actually does change the intake grill location, and also adds slightly more grill surface area than the circular shape of the pump.
