well that kinda looks like it but did not have as big of a cluster of tentacles

im sure its the hair worm
im going to wait till morning to dig it out and try to get a better picture of it

I think what you found might be a spaghetti worm.Check out the net on spaghetti worms.I am sure you will have you answer.As the main body is pinkish red with long tentacles.I have loads of these in my sand bed and rocks.I even took pics while it was spawning.
The pic that TNT showed you thats the tentacles sticking out looking for food.But the main body stays in the sand bed or rock wherever it decides to live.Saltwaterconnections in Wpg sells them for $6 a piece.
