Well for me, half the fun is just bidding on the item, not necessarily winning it

there is a link just above winning bidder called "history". click on that and it will show you who bid what on the item after the auction was closed.

I'm a final minute bidder. I bid at the last minute the maximum I want to spend and hope for the best and that people dont drive the total up by trying to beat me.IF you bid in the last minute you can posibly keep the price down.

yeah that’s the key, not driving up to much interest on a item from the start. i also keep multiple browser windows open qued up with bids ready to go, just have to hit submit when it's crunch time.

It was one of those closed auctions where you could not see who is bidding.

Here is the link

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...MEDW%3AIT&rd=1

Still not sure how he got 450.11...

Congrats on the second chance offer. The reason that he beat you by .11 is because earlier on in the auction he set his max bid at 450.11 (probably counting on the fact that a competitor would only go to 450). When the auction ended and his bid was higher than yours, how much higher? .11. So that's how much he was expected to pay.

But, he could not have done that earlier in the auction. I had the highest bid up until the last 10-20 minuts or so... I guess my question is still, how can you have a penny bid when the increments are $10? Does ebay allow you to do this aslong as you bid the minimum $10? Not that it really matters, I'm just curious now.. maybe I could win using this!
