Default Isopods or?

Hey Brad-we have never seen one on the fish either. We actually have a crab trap that we caught a few in now...but will try the pop bottle for sure. This is sure frustrating! We almost tore down the tank out of sheer frustration but will try this and hope for the best....

don't tear down the tank, as I don't think these isopods are real bad for the fish, unless you have tons of them. I'm sure I have some left, but the fish are fine, with no visible signs of attack.
Glad the molly worked out for you, Japarto was teling me about it the other day.

Tim, my rock came from Safari. FWIW, it's the same rock that Hillside gets, and probably most of the lower mainland. It is supplied by one of the major wholesalers in Vancouver. Top quality rock, I might add!

Hey Brad-Japarto is a BIG help! We just had to put something in there after we removed our deep sand bed (it was a 3-4+ inch deep sugar sand with live sand base.....way too messy and less space for the isopods to hide....)to see if the tank would support any fish. Luckily for the Molly, he is either fast or stays high enough in the tank...as well as the Blue-Green Chromis. I got my live rock from; Cora at Hillside for the first bunch...wasn't fully cured but really nice rock, and the second bunch from Japarto at Safari...it was cured and really really nice rock...got some nice pieces from both stores. The Chromis which is absolutely gorgeous (not your plain old green chromis) and a wicked blue color I think from Red Sea was from Cora (Hillside) OK nice fish! Highly recommended for a "cheap" fish with great color and movement! Now we want to add a yellow wrasse for some bug control...hope he makes it and add a really small tang for some algae control...we scrubbed it off with a toothbrush but it came back with a vengeance! So a Tang it is! We also want to add a few more Blue Chromis but will be adding one fish at a time, waiting to see if it dies...then add another....At some point...once we have a bunch living...we want to add a Gold Stripe Maroon clown....that's where Japarto will have to help us out once again!
