where can I get AB bulbs locally?

If you don't mind mail-ordering (always a risk) best price I've found so far is:

Air doesn't reduce the light output near what water does. so even 12" above the surface I would still recommend 250's but like you said if you get a screaming deal on 400's well I am always for saving money.

I mailed ordered bulbs from them with no problems. Packaging is excellent and price is even better
