The purple stuff could be coraline algae growth or it might even be Green Star Polyps that are retracted. It is hard to tell.

The "brown feather polyps" are probably feather duster worms.
Do they look like this..??

Ryan,

No they are not feather dusters. They have no tube. when contracted they are just a brown patch right on the surface of the rock. Then they open up into about a quarter size 'feather'.

Finished the aquascaping tonight. I still think I may get a bit more LR to build up the back of the right side.

Heres how the finished (well for now anyway) product turned out.

Full tank shot

Readings all looked great tonight but I'm going to wait a bit longer just to make sure I don't get a spike, then its time to add a cleanup crew.

I bought the ship at my local LFS. Its marine safe, but had ugly fake plants on it which I removed. Then I placed it into the tank first and aquascaped the rock around it. That was a time consuming process. Like LEGO with a picture. lol. I wanted it to look natural, but still have crevices and caves. I'm still going to add some more LR to the right to build up over the overflow. That won't be for a bit.

Got some cleaners today that seem to be very happy. Pics will follow soon.
