walt. did you have to do a complete conversion for xenons?

I did buy the sylvania silverstars and i'm quite impressed, I almost like the crissssp white over the blue...the cheapy aftermarket blue looks so amature.

I put some blue ones in my Mustang when I lived in Kelowna a few years ago and the cops made me take them out or get a ticket during a check stop. I asked why and he said they were not approved for canada. I showed him that they had DOT ratings and he could not care less. He mentioned that you could not see reflections at night and that standing water would look black and this had caused some accidents. I still have them, but they do not fit my truck now. They sure lite up the night. Back then they were 35 each.

No, they were just bulbs. I think I paid $35 each.. well worth the price. I tried the Silverstars and I was not impressed with them (But that's just me! ) The Xenons had a white/blue look to them and were amazing at night.

Just curious, what did you not like about the Silverstars?

You wouldn't have a pic of them running on your car would you? I'd like to see a side by side shot comparing Silverstars to PIAA or regular bulbs.

Maybe it would be easier to see the differnce in color if you pointed the headlights at a white wall and took pics of the wall?

Hmmm yeah they are not the least little bit blue. Just white as far as I can tell. Just stupidly bright white ... I have no real need to turn on high beams. Since putting them in I get flashed at night a LOT ... I'm guessing I am going to either have to take them out and put back in the PIAA's, or aim them downwards to help with this problem.

These Xenon's you put in, they were kind of blue-ish? Might have to look at those.
