![]() thanks dude, my tank is dominates by a coris wrasse who is my favorite fish. he has this favorite hole between two rocks that he chills in. hence the name.

![]() Hi, looks like RTN rapid tissue necrosis, common with acropora and starts at the base. Any new corals recently you've may have added to cause this outbreak. I would remove it, before it might cause other corals to have an outbreak of RTN. Regards Ken

![]() RTN usually takes only hours and the entire colony is gone. That appears to be what my acros are doing. Very slowly losing tissue from the base up. Takes weeks to lose a colony, which isn't RTN.

![]() This has been going on for about 5-6 weeks know very slowly. Ive checked for sweepers and there not even close to the acro.This was the last piece Ive added to my tank, been holding off on new ones untill I get this figured out. Is there any way to save this coral or is it a lost cause

![]() Andy, it may just stop and start growing back, or it could go completely. Unfortunately you can't do anything but watch. Moving or messing with it will only stress it further.

![]() If it's slow I would epoxy over the dead or resseaded area, covering over a little of the live tissue of the coral. If it's done right it will just grow over the epoxy.

![]() Well I just got back from holiday and it has progressed further on that one branch, but also the rest of the acro has growen, and there seems to be good night time polyp extension so I think im going to wait it out and see
