R/O & Nano's in Calgary

more newbie type questions...

1) what is everyone's thoughts on the need for an R/O unit in Calgary for a nano reef tank? must have or nice to have?

2) does anyone have any feedback on the differences between the following types of R/O units? are barebones style alot more maintenance but worth it for the higher % of contaminant removal?
