I think you're right. The more I look at the two the more they seem to look different to me. I didn't think that there was a difference between blue cloves and purple cloves but there does appear to be a difference. At any rate, when in doubt, NUKE IT!

Yea these one are not nice. The pic has captured the color right. They're a brownish purple color and they grow that matting like green star polyps have. When you do scrub them with a brush a purplish cloud comes off of them. I've scraped them with a knife, used a brush, kalk paste etc... Nothing works but fluke tabs. I beleive Aquattro fought the same polyps and that's all that worked for him as well. Rock is cheaper than future coral purchases Dearth, it might be just as easy to start with new stuff. Trust me on this one.

I had 3 rocks with the purple clove polyps all 3 were given a fresh water bath today killed all visible infestation so we shall see if it makes another appearance
