I ran 3 of them in that room for years, it wasn't bad. And wife lives with me, she has bigger things to be unhappy about

T5 was ok, but too flat for my taste. I just missed my radiums, so figured it was time to go back. They really are the best light for SPS.

Brad, why you gotta go and stir things up? Now you are making me second guess my lighting choice!

Well, the choice depends on what you want, what you're willing to give up for it, and what you're used to.

For me, MH has always given me the best SPS color. It gives me heat to deal with, but I'm ok with that. I have a large chiller. I lose the dimming of LED, but in all honesty, I was usually out when this dimming stuff happened I don't have light separation anymore, so all around, I'm happy again with my lighting. Or will be once my Apex comes back

T5 was nice, but it's a flat light, no shimmer or movement. I didn't like that so much.

Yeah, I hear ya. If I had the choice I would probably pick MH as well. Unfortunately this would add way too much heat and the only way to combat it would be with central air and a monster chiller. I'm glad you can be honest about the T5's. I am leaning towards LED's now. Someone out there has to have had success with them and SPS!!

Looking forward to the canopy pics!
