Here's a one of a kind Trachy I picked up at ReefRaft. It is purple w/ green highlights. Also, I attached a pic of my Holywood Stunner chalice. It is HUGE! 13" x 16" showpiece.

^ That is not a Trachyphyllia. Trach are Open Brains. You either have a Closed Brain coral from the Faviidae family or maybe even Acanthastrea sp. Would need a picture of it all puffed up once it settles in to ID for sure.

You may be right. I was skeptical about it being a Trachy. It is definitely not an acan though and I really don't think it is a favia either though. I will take a top-down shot to show more of the open areas of the coral. I would love to have an ID of it though.

Got an ID on it. It is a Symphyllia wilsoni. http://coral.aims.gov.au/speciesPages/species_metadata/0362/view#

Thanks Reefermadness!

Allright, I'll post a couple pics. Man there are some beautiful pieces in here. I'll post my main center piece, aside from my clam..lol

Trying to upload a pic that is recent, as it has almost doubled in size and isn't all puffy after feeding..lol
