Nice pics Kien. You must have that Northern Delight mounted under some good PAR. I find it to be a hardy acro in terms of STN/RTN but can be a little finicky in terms of colour. When its in its prime though it is stunning.....especially from above. I would love to see some fellow reefers with nice colonies of that one.....good luck.

Thanks. Ya, I do have that one very high up, right under a 250watt halide. That one has become my canary. It is quite fickle and tells me when something is wrong. It turned quite brown when the lights went out for 24 hrs during our June flood but it held it together and got its colour back over the summer. It continues to grow and colour up nicely!

Purple Plasma An acan colony that has had a rough go at it but has finally settled into a place where it won't get stung but anyone, or knock over into the sand bed by fish. Purple Gorgonia A Pink Lemonade that really isn't all that pink. But has done quite well. Started out as this nubbin one year ago. The Purple Monster and its worshiping hermit crab. Branching Cyphastrea Unknown acro (Probably a granulosa of some sort). One of my favourite pieces. Not a terribly fast grower but steady and colourful. Forest Fire Montipora. Cobalt Blue Tortuosa. Joe the Coral trucking along and getting cozy with the Blue Cloves. Acropora Granulosa. This guy also completely lost its colours and browned out during the June power outage. You can see in its base the brown that it had turned. Over the summer it turned around and came back with a vengeance and continues to recover nicely. DV's Kushberry. |

Gorgeous pics as always! Glad to see that the northern delight has come back. I have one of those and it too has gone thru some set backs prior to adding it to my tank. It is coming around but slowly... I don't have it high up... More like a third up from the bottom. It has a dark green tone... Anyways I am going to leave it there for a while longer and see what happens... If I don't like it I will raise it up high like yours... Rich also has one in his frag tank and it looked promising in there.
