Default Skimmer king's 150 inwall mixed reef "Retiring this Weekend"

Well I have started another thread due to my better half is all done with daycare so I get my RecRoom back, this tank will be 60x24x24 with 1/2"glass euro braced around. the sump will be 30x16x18 the reason for a smaller sump the laundry room and the fish room will have a wall that will share a wall to separate them. I was going to use my old 75 gal sump but its not going to work to where I want it to be. So spend more money. the tank will have something different for a over flow I went with a box in the back left corner just because I hate the over flow boxes that take up alot of tank space. Lighting will be 2x250's on a Galaxy electronic ballast bought from Doug here. THANKS DOUG Im going to pick up some lumenarc reflectors and run 12K reeflux bulbs. I will have a 8 bulb t-5 tek lighting system for sale when ever i get around ordering my lumenarc reflectors too. the tank will sit around 24" off the ground recessed in 4" to have a nice ledge around it. the trim is from home Depot 6-1/2" I find that a wide trim enhances the tank. SO enough typing here are some pic's keep in mind this build will take soem time since I will be heading back to Afghanistan on June 7th until Sept time frame.

the trim didnt match up on the cut thank god for paintable silicone.. i will take a shot once the trim is all painted and all the touch ups are done...

and here is the tank the last one I mean it too.... and I'm getting a sink for my skimmer which will be on the left side of this room..

well picked up the Sump today and a few goodies,
the sump is 30x16x18 i didnt want to go with a big sump this time ,the main purpose behind the tnak this time if I do a water change i will just drain the sump and fill it and there I will have 20 -25 gal done alot more easier then tryign to take it out of the sump on the lower ground. this sump will be 18 " high off the ground and above that will be my ATS algae srubber compliments of DOug.

oh ya these babies I have been wanting some of these bad boys I saw that Lando bought a pair of them and loved them so do what other reefers do .....

and the adjustable sockets too.

well i ahve a few more before I head back over to Afghanistan My wife wanted me to swap the tank over tomorrow, but I dont think I will have enough time to get it sorted out and well I love to but I dont want to rush this transfer since I will be gone a better part of 4 months. I hate to see if something happens if I'm gone. so I tried something different today I painted the tank a ocean blue and then I'm applying some lacquer paint to harde over it it will still have the blue on the inside. But the out side will be a solid black what so you guys think of it..

this is just 2 coats im going to put another 2-3 on its works great with not peeling either you can see the blue on the inside too I think it's pretty slick.

and I installed the egg crate too. its getting there

and oh ya i built the sump stand, after building it I notiiced that it was to tall so i had to cut off 6 " off the legs

There will be a wall dividing the fish room and the laundry room with 36" louver doors just off to the right of the sump that is where the Kalk reactor will be along with my shelving too.

Personally I prefer blue over black. My tank is blue also, though not quite as bright as yours. Anyway I think it looks great and I can't believe how quickly your build is going. Good job, man.

I really like that blue! Sorry you won't make your goal of switching it over before you go. Its still a super sweet build though!
