i dont have a 40g. but if u mean 90g, it has a overflow 1.5" ID with 4" cup. the tank is 36 x 24 x 24".

its a standart sized 40 so 36x18x16 and i believe the overflow adds an extra 5" but ill have to double check when i get home

calgary is kinda far from hatzic btw
