Great thread! Been reading with interest. Beautiful tank and pics!

I know what you mean about being away, and not even trusting other people with feeding LOL. I get nervous months before leaving! It's always the thing that 'never' happens when you're home that WILL happen when you are away!

Had the drop in ALK happen to me too. Power went out for a few hours... and I assumed autodoser had memory. A few days later corals didn't look quite right. Checked parameters and ALK was around 5. Autodoser had not resumed! All settings were at zero. No ALK or CA had gone into tank for about 4 days.

Anyway, I am another Langleyite... and if you ever want me to check parameters or feed when you are away would be happy to Anything to help alleviate any worries.

Love to see your tank one day

Did you have a flash when taking pics of the reef when snorkeling?
All my videos seem to have a lot less colour

Did not use flash. My TG-2 has several underwater settings for different exposure and shutter speeds, as well as for white balance which gives you correct color for under water. I had it on telescoping stick so was easy to use while snorkeling. The TG-3 is out now, and has wi-fi, so even better.

I did some vids as well, but haven't gone thru and edited them yet.

Doing a little reno on this side of the tank. Still need to cut back more my pink lemonade and red planet colonies.

And some of my newest additions (boxing day).

Default Never ends...

Just some rock encrusting left where my big pink lemonade colony used to be. But it did allow me to place some new frags.

Now I have a couple more space challenges to solve <sigh>...

Green bali acro getting crowded out. Looks like more pruning..., but where do I put it?...

And my pink milli is getting eaten by my sunset monti. Will have to frag and move it somewhere,... but again, not sure where.
