Tank reno
Hey guys i was looking for some advice on doing some rock re-aranging in my 95gal tank. I'm just not happy with the way it looks. can i do it with the fish in the tank or should i pull them all out and hold them in buckets while i mess around. Alot of the pieces are fairly large rock. Is there a general rule of thumb when arranging them? please help TIA

I do it quite often but it's usually just a few rocks at a time. Either way if you don't do it that often your most likely to stress your fish out. I'd do a water change afterwards cause you may stir up detritus, but I don't know anything about your tank but you'll be able to tel once you start. If you do decide to catch your fish first than take some water out of your tank for them first before you start mucking around. Other than that just try not to squash your fish

I do have some coral in the tank and seems to be doing quite well. i just dont like how the fish have almost to many hiding spots at the back of the tank behind the rocks. there is about 90lbs of rock in the display tank. i have no sump. do i have to much rock?

That's partly (a huge part) a matter of personal taste. I've seen 90 gallons with more rock than that and I've seen 150g tanks with less rock than that. I'd say look through the Full Tank Shot threads and see if there's an aquascape that you would like to emulate.
