Default I was wondering if anyone would be able to house a Blue angel for me.

As the title says, I am currently seting up a 180 gal fowlr tank and I found a blue face angel that I would like to purchase, so I was wondering if anyone has a big enough tank that could handle this fish, it is about 5" in length and, and the tank should be well established. I would need it housed for about three months, I don't mind supplying the food to feed it.

If you are purchasing it from a LFS why not ask them to hold it for you ? If you're buying it from a local reefer, well, then nevermind :-)

I don't mean to discourage you (or maybe i do), but 3 months is a long time to ask someone to hold a fish for you. What if that fish for some reason dies in their care? That someone can easily say they did everything in their power to look after your fish for you but who knows. Maybe they didn't, or maybe they did and your fish died anyway, you just don't know..

If it were me I would just wait out the three months until my new tank was set up and ready for the Angel. It is a fairly easy fish to ask a LFS to get in for you.

Just my unsolicited opinion

I agree, you never know what is in someone elses tank as well, like ich or velvet, not worth the risk to me.

Any chance you can QT in another tank? Or I'll take all of your corals and you can put the angel in the 180 you have now. lol

I think you are spot on.

I also discourage this purchase for all the same reasons. Let alone unplanned tank issues such as leaks/cracks/breaks or complete crash. Anything can happen.

It's not a cheap fish. Be patient. That is, after all, the key to success in this hobby.

I am sure you will find one down the road.

I wonder... does anyone care enough to read signatures if you make them really small? I would not. I would probably moan and complain, read three words and swear once or twice. But since you made it this far, please rate my builds.
