Yeah my regal tang has continued his relentless attack in his quest for clam sushi. This one seems hit the hardest. I keep moving it around the tank but to no avail. I haven't decided what I'm going to do about it yet.

I do need to scrub those hydroids off though, I wonder if they're an irritant to the clam?

I absolutely LOVE clams. My first attempt at owning one though, I was not successful.

Thank you for sharing your pics. ~drool~

Any tips for a newbie so I might have a better go at it the second time around? Is any one clam easier than another?

derasas, squamosas and hippos are considered to be more tolerant of tank conditions......I think some people just try clams too soon in their tanks life.....they really do need a mature, stable tank.......
