![]() Nice looking birds. I thought I read somewhere that Figs were poisonous to birds. Don't quote me on it but you might want to research it and TEFLON pans when cooking around our feathered friends!

![]() hmm, just did a bit of google search and there aeems to be info on both sides about the ficus when it comes to birds.. most seem to say it is ok but for a few species.
We try to be very careful about what plants we keep in the house with a cat and a toddler. ![]() I had read about the teflon, We rarely use a teflon pan for cooking but know now to be sure to use it safely.

Your birdies are beautiful! There's a lot to learn when owning birds, it's almost a life altering experience! In addition to teflon, there are a lot of things you should avoid around them. Basically anything "smelly" is bad, scented candles, incense, strong smelling cleaners (especially pine scented), wood burning fire places, oven roasting bags, I could go on for days! There is a great book in "birds for dummies" that is a good reference to have. |
