It is too bad about the leopard. My mystery wrasse went MIA as well Sometimes it's just weird, a fish is fat and healthy, and then...just gone. My McCoskers is really bold and always in the open water "flashing". I really like him.

Thanks for the comments. Wow, sorry to have drained an hour of your life that you'll never get back I too can't believe that this whole process happened so fast. It's been less then 6 months since I've had rock/good salt water in the tank. Crazy.

Maybe after 50 pages a quick summary and picture collage is needed to save time for future browsers? ... just a thought.

Well, just a few pictures here and there:

Here is a frag that I got on Oct 06, 09

This is a picture taken Jan 22, 10. Pretty good for 3 and a 1/2 months of growth. I rescued it just in time as it was pretty much touching both sides of the rock. If I had waited any longer, it would have been stuck there or I'd have to break it to get it out. I like the colour of it so I moved it so it can grow out more.

Here it is in the new location. You'll see it in a full tank shot later

This is a saltynuts frag that I got, picture taken Sept 22, 09

This is a picture taken today, so roughly 4 1/2 months of growth:

Here's a saltynuts birdsnest Sept 22, 09 (sorry - cell phone pic)

Picture today - 4 1/2 months growth

Birdsnest Frag (pic taken Oct 18, 09)

Picture taken today (Less than 4 months growth)

Pocci frag (pic taken Dec 22, 09)

Picture taken today (about 1 1/2 months growth)

More random pictures to follow. Thanks for looking.

This is kind of funny cause this actually happened! This was quoted from March.

1. Rich (Richer) got back into the hobby as a result of this build.
2. Harvey (Mr. Alberta) is "allowed" to get a bigger tank as a result of this build.
3. Russ actually stepped into a fish store and got interested in the hobby again as a result of this build..
4. But Ryan never made it out to see the tank yet, came under the weather the day of the tank party for the old gang.

Hey Mark!!! Why do you have a picture of one of my old tanks? For those who don't know, that was one of my many tanks in my old condo with a viewable refugium. I miss that tank. DIY stand, Canopy etc.....

What tanks are you running now?

Okay, I'm signing up for photobucket now....let's try this. This is a beckett skimmer I built back in the day....I hear those are pretty old school power hogs now too... In the background was a calcium reactor that I built.

Well well well - Hello Dez good to see you are back.I remember that tank, it gave me the insperation for my 150. I seem to remember a 180 that was by your front door also. Good luck with your build, I'm sure it wont take you long to get up to speed with things.

Yeah.....the 180 was my wife's favourite tank. Hopefully this build will be done by next winter . It's good to be back.....it'll be better to have a running tank though.

Forget where I grabbed that picture of yours from but kept it as a build plan. I've put it up a few times and always with a comment like "fantastic idea".

I've got a 145g but how my stand is then with the basement sump, never was able to copy your idea.
