The Teutonic word Lent, which we employ to denote the forty days' fast preceding Easter, originally meant no more than the spring season.
ok so I see.. I saw the most Christian faiths comment and wondered.. I have two of the biggest represented here and neither of us had hear of this but I later found it is a Jewish ceremony. Steve
