Side Topic: I want to buy some poker chips. Is this a good deal for $49.99 US? Good quality? I don't know anything about Poker. But friend is going to teach me.

Not bad! I have seen 750 lots in Canada for $20 more, I just have to think of where, I will post if I can find it.

Hey Ryan. Any suggestion where I can get chips? Overstock doesn't take Canadian credit cards nor Canadian Paypal accounts.

I saw 500 chip sets at Costco & Sports Chek (Broadway) for around $48 Cdn.

5 colours
150 white
150 red
100 green
50 blue
50 black
with dealer button dice 2 sets of cards.
in an aluminum carrying case.

Thanks. What is Costco and SportChek? Are they combined store? Sounds like a good deal. Not sure about the quality at Costco though. Some say its made of PVC. But what do I know. I don't even know how to play the game yet.

I ment costco or sports chek.

I can't remark on the quality of the Sportchek chips but I do own a set of Costco chips & they are just as good as the chips my other friends bought online from the states.

Ok, thanks Vic. SportsCheck sells poker chips too? Odd. I guess its in style right now. I just picked up the $48 set from Costco today. They had another set for $99 in a wooden case. The chips look identical but I dropped a chip from each set onto the floor and you can hear a difference. The $99 chip went plunk while the $48 chip went plink.

Anyhow, you get what you pay for but I don't think the majority of the people can tell the difference between the 2 so I took the cheaper set.
