What the hell are these bugs!!

Suddenly today I see thousandsssssss!!! Of these tiny white bug looking things all over the glass of my tank. Prob many many more floating around but they are just too small to see. I know it's not bits of sand because they have antennas and they crawl up and down the glass. What should I do!!!!

Picture is very out of focus on the bugs. Hard to say but my bet is on pods of some sort.

I had the same thing happen to me the other day. was at work and got an email from the girlfriend saying the tank was infested with bugs. Got home and after a Rum and some research was very relieved. Laughed when I saw this cause it reminded me of my three + hours of dread that I was going to have to restart my tank.

they could be Amphipods too at this point though couldn't they? I read they look similar in the juvenile stage.

There's so many it just freaked me out that thu can appear in a day? After looking carefully there seems to be more like a hundred thousand of them. So pods r good or bad? How do I get rid of them and how did they just appear so suddenly? There doesn't seem to be any on my corals or fish

corals and fish will eat them , and they never just appeared theyve been there since day one the numbers get larger as time goes by, in places where there are predators like fish you prob wont see too many and they are nocturnal so better chances in the morning and night to find them.

there is no getting rid of them plus they are beneficial anyways

a mandarin, butterflys,wrasses and many other fish will make quick work of those guys

what kind of fish do you have?

take a flashlight at night and have a look... a lot of other night critters will come out that you would not see when the lights are on.
These , if one can see from the photo, is similar to what most people have in their tanks, especially if you shut down the pumps, even more will be visible.

These are the same bugs you were asking me about in my tank when you stopped by. I actually go to great lengths to keep their populations high. Great natural food for fish and they recycle waste in the process.
