Default canopy building tips???

so im about to start building a canopy for my 33g any one have any tips or suggestions to how i should build it, what to paint it. a plan would be nice

also does any one have any suggestions to how high i should make it its gona house a 175mh

Kato,

I'm in the processof finishing my canopy off. From the paint pont of I used a white glossy marine paint inside and wood stain outside.

I would give yourself room with the height to raise and lower your lights. I'm starting at 6" from the water surface but can go up to 10".

The only other key thing I think is to make sure you will have room to work on the lights (change bulbs) without a big hastle.
