![]() What a decent LED fixture for a FW tank, no plants, I would like to stay away from marineland as I hear bad things about them, Ecoxotic is an option but, would like to see what you guys come up with

![]() What about the vertex Vertex Illumilux IV LED Fixtures? They have a variety of color options for fresh water like the Marino Sole or Dolce Bianco.

![]() I think I'm going to stay away from pendants more then likely, vertex is a lot more then I am willing to spend for a FW tank, 48" is close to the price of a radion lol

![]() Actually it's about half the price as a Radion and the same price (and way better) then the reefbright Marineland fixtures. Also if you tank is 48" consider the 36" vertex which should still produce enough coverage.

![]() I hear ya, just not looking to spend more then probably $250 or so. I might see what martin can offer in the DIY department too, or ask Ecoxotic how many modules or stunners would be ample

![]() Or this one also cheep and free shipping within USA. But they will only warranty for 30 days.
http://www.aquatraders.com/LED-Fresh...ht-p/56205.htm If you don't want plants then this can be an option, you only risk us much as $69. And fish looks good under these lights. I have these lights on my Fresh Water Nano for about 3 month now and plant growth is good. http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=82467 |

They are OK as long as you do not have/want plants. It's low level lighting for most tanks (depending on the hight of the tank) but it does give a nice look to the tank. If you want a planted tank, there are better options out there like the below http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...8&pcatid=21598 |
