Brita is essentially a coffee filter and some carbon. So it will remove particles and a number of other things, but won't be anywhere near as pure as RO/DI.

I would say better than nothing to get excess stuff out of your water.

couldn't hurt, but i don't think it would help allot id probably still use a de-chlorinate
