![]() I have 70W metal halide over my 10 gallon tank and have only LPS and softies (overkill, I know). The open brain and mushroom don't seem to mind the light but one type of the zoas don't like being near the center of the tank and I have palys that bleach out when any higher than the sandbed. You could maximize your 'real estate' by choosing corals that have shorter sweepers.

![]() I have 96w T5HO on a 20l so it is only about13" deep...I keep frogspawn, hammer, open brain, crocea clam, toadstool, green tree, zoas etc...all super healthy and BIG!
