![]() In view of the nice and warm summer to come I was thinking about ways to cool down my 29 cube. I was thinking of putting little fans above the back compartments do cool it down. Has anyone ever done something similar?

![]() if heat ever became a problem for my old bc8, i would just leave the feeding lid open. If things become drastic, just point a fan into the open feeding lid; it'll look ugly, but it'll work.

![]() Fans of any sort work REALLY well, just blow across the water surface. HUGE evaporation so you have to top off every day or sort out an ATO.

![]() If you are really concerned about looks then you can upgrade the fans that go inside the hood. These kits are supposed to work well but cost a lot more than simply lifting the hood and aiming a large fan at the surface. Check out nanotuners.com. Here is the link to the DIY air cooling page:
