Whiskey is on a distinguished road
Default I need advice please

Hi,

I made a very expensive mistake and bought a 50 gallon tank for way more than it's worth. I'm never going to be able to move it for anywhere close to what I paid for it. I think I'm going to swallow the expense and build a reef with it.

My plan is to take up ~1/4 of the tank with a fuge/sump. The sump would be 16" high, 7" wide and extends 24" across the rear-left of the tank. The exterior of the structure will be covered with eggcrate, foam, and rubble shelves. It would be decorated to look like a cliff.

This will be my first marine tank and I need advice on the sump/fuge. I need to make sure that the flow of the water makes sense and I'm not about to make a bigger mistake by messing up my tank.

Check out the plan and comment on why it's poor or not.
