Default Anyone tried to build a filter like this?

Hi,
Check this out: "Mega Powerful Nitrate and Phosphate Remover -DIY"

That look cheap to build. Anyone tried that kind of thing?

That is a modified Algae Turf Scrubber.

Santa Monica has been posting this on a lot of different forums.

It works but not as well as the true ATS created by Dr Adey (Dynamic Aquaria).

Santa Monica is also very zealous about his ATS and he has been banned from many boards.

Cheers,
Vic

The theory is sound and people used it in the good ol' days of SW (like the 80s and 90s), but don't expect any miracles like Santa Monica would have you believe - the guy is a reincarnation of Tom Vu.
