![]() It looks like a vermatid snail. (A common hitchhiker) They cast a web to catch food. Good for cleaning water I'd assume, but can bother coral if too close. I've had success removing them by snipping them quickly at the base before they can withdraw into their tube.

![]() I actually think its the membrane on your Hammer Coral. Mine does a very similar action when I move it to a different place in the tank.

![]() I third the vermatid snail. if you look at the picture right below the coral you can see were the webs originate. That small round "tube" is the vermatid snail.
after feed the tank you should be able to see the snail pulling the web back into his home to feed off it. joes juice or some kalk (little r/o water) into the tube also works Kyle |

![]() i have the exact same looking webs all over my live rock whenever the water is disturbed, like in a water change for example they cast there little webs to catch all the suspended particles in the water, gets all over my corals and kinda annoying for my finger leather, i'm gonna have 2 say vermatid snails, theres 15+ of them on one my rocks.

![]() while we're on the topic, joes juice worked for me real well, just squirted in there little white ''tube'' and done..
