Only one vehicle out of 3 in my yard would start even though all are plugged in. With the wind chill it is like -42. At least I am not shovelling snow - just packing wood!

Actually folks, the windchill factor has no bearing on parked vehicles. They only respond to the ambient temperature. Windchill factor is based on heat loss.

What if the wind is blowing straight at the front of your car when it's parked. Found out the hard way when it was frozen for a week.

I knew I would get an argument. It makes no difference if the wind is blowing right at the car. It is all about the ambient temperature, and heat loss. A cold car engine has no more heat to lose. However, just to end the argument why don't you go out and put a thermometer in the wind, and one that is sheltered from the wind. You will find no temperature difference.

That makes sense, so it would only make it cool down faster but not any colder.
