How did everyone's tank fair this past week!

I almost had fish soup on Wed when the outside temp was high 30's and my tank got up to 86-87F! I had to move my fan to thetop of my tank from the sump and turn off the metal halides! This helped plenty b/c my temp was back down to 80F. Everything seems to have survived! But I can't seem to find my bubble tip! Oh well, I guess I was extremely lucky! Any CAlgary people have the same problem? Simon P.S. Dumb useless fact! on WED we were hotter than Honululu. How often does that happen |

We set up a new tank a while ago upstairs, and it has convinced me about the evaporative cooling. Our large tanks are downstairs, and so far the only thing I did was put the fans on the main powerbar (vs on/off with the MH).

Upstairs can get beastly, but I put a house fan on top of a speaker and removed some of the glass top....huge evap but the coolest tank in the house. (No halides however - I can't see ever running halides upstairs without central AC here) |
