who would be into meeting once a month?

I am going to go ahead and try to organize our fellow reefers together for a monthly meeting.
so please answer the following questions.
1. what day works best for you? i know we all have diffrent schedules but i was thinking 1st sunday evening of the month kinda thing.
2. what whould everyone like to see/acomplish with a reefclub as per say?
3. this kinda ties into the previous question; would you like to swap/sell frags to fellow reefers at these meetings?
4. i offer my house as the 1st meeting place, but i feel we should spread it around as we all like to see other systems. so is your house/apartment/cave availiable?

thats about it. feel free to mail me your responses but please post what you mail to me on here so other calgarians can see your intrest in this as well.

Well I am in. Selling and trading frags would be good, but also teaching others how to would be good. I do not know how to make frags. Another reason would be for group orders to get around the ridiculous prices our dealers charge. Also getting ideas on DIY projects would be useful. Maybe selling or trading used equipment would be useful, I have a Prizm skimmer that is just sitting around and I would like to get rid of it. I would be happy to host a meeting, but my place is usually a disaster because I have few visitors. BTW fro May until the end od September I will be gone on weekends. :D

I guess if I had a preference on a day, I'd say not a Friday or a Saturday evening. A Sunday evening/afternoon thing would work for me.

As for goals ... Well personally just to get together and gab, see where everyone else is at or what they're doing, to learn new ideas and stuff like that. And it'd be a good opportunity to see if anyone wants whatever you want to get rid of, so naturally trading/selling/buying livestock and used equipment.

I offer my place too as a gathering point ... maybe at the moment it's a little chaotic (hence my reluctance to host the "first" gathering) but I hope to have things settled out pretty soon. Unfortunately I am in the DeepSouth(tm) so that would make it a miserable trek for those who live the FarNorth(tm).

Aj_77 of course there is room that's what's this is all about.
I agree with bob, many people will probably learn stuff just if we get together.
as far as times go well i suggested sunday evenings cause i am allways offwork at 5:30 but i suppose a day durring the week would be great. so far Tursday evening sounds good. i am sure we can all organize our schedules enough to work this out for 1 day a month.
so keep the ideas comming but most importantly i want feed back from the others that our in calgary. so if you know of anyone else that has not replied to this post, get them to come take a look and put in their opinion.
Edit; oh for got to add this, as far as areas go i am in deep sw, same as tony. so i would assume it would be a great idea to go to other members houses everytime to mix it up. Eg, Sw 1 month Nw another month.

Yeah I'd be into it I think.. Even though I don't have much in the way of reef knowledge, yet, I think it would be a great resource for all of us just to get together and share ideas.

Hey Jonathan,
Right now I'm working 7 days/week, so i have no idea what would be a good time for me. I can barely make it home in time to feed my dogs :D . You guys will have to set up a time, and I will attend if I can.
I would like to have everyone over to my place at some time, though. I'm up in Beddington, around 80th and Center st., N.W. A couple of blocks from Eli, it sounds like!
