Default Gen X Pumps

I recently purchased one of these pumps, how do you silence them, its got a high pitch hum that can be heard throughout the whole house.

How have you plumbed it in. The Iwaki pump on my closed loop was like that until I fitted a short length of spaflex in both the inlet and outlet pipes. It dampened the pumps vibrations that were transmitting through the ridgid PVC before.

I am using a Mak-4 for my skimmer, and did it the same way. It too is quiet. I also mounted it to a piece od plywood with some rubber furniture feet on the bottom to isolate it from the floor.

Where can you find Spaflex? Would I be correct in assuming a Hot Tub retailer or can you find it at a good plumbing store?
